Well, here's how the ranch looked 24 months ago........
















....and now......Well.....we're done! After a year of heavy renovations, we'll call it "finished"! The house was leveled, and the lattice is back up around the house. Of course....you can call it whatever you want...but there will always be plenty to do when we're up there!









Just in time for the July 4th weekend!!!!

We went up for fathers day weekend, and didn't do anything but watch the rain and swat flies!

Momma and the kids bought new patio furniture for the front porch. It's wicker, with cushions! Sorry, no pics....

We had the the house leveled last weekend, so now we can fix the ceiling in this room, and we THINK we're gonna do stamped tin. What do you think?

Well, we finally did it! We update the dining room. Tell us, what do you think?

Well, it's been a busy spring, especially after Hurricane Rita! We've done alot of carpentry work on the house, which included painting the outside....do you recognize it? We need to level the house (I really think the hurricane moved it on the blocks) and then we'll get the lattice back up around the bottom...



We re-worked the interior window sills, and "super cleaned" the windows. The last touch was to do away with the ugly roll-down shades, and go back with 2" blinds. It really gives it the "warm cottage" feel we were trying to get...

We salvaged three of the original screen frames, but made many new ones from scratch. All of them got new screen, molding, and paint. They look pretty good, if I say so myself! HA!






This room will be our final project for a while.....we are going to re-do the ceiling in here this weekend, then prime the old paneling for paint. Can you say "brighter walls"?????



As always, the doggies say "thanks for dropping by!" The little dog is "Rustus Maximus", we call him "Rusty"...he's the newest member of our family!
